I’ve let my gray hair grow from very short to a much longer length during the pandemic. I was using a couple shampoos that are supposed give grays a lot of “brilliance.” My scalp was itching like crazy, and I even had some raised welts. I noticed the various brands had sodium lauryl sulphate which has always been a problem for me with toothpaste, so I ordered more of the grapefruit lavender bars from The Yellow Bird. I had used this product in the past with great results with my very short hair. After a few washings (and some apple cider rinses), my scalp is at last itch free....and my grays are brilliant and interesting. What a relief!
I don't know what I did wrong, but this shampoo bar didn't work for me. It felt like covering your hair in wax.
The soap gives a deep pure cleansing. It’s like that first shower after you go camping. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes. 😉
I love this product. When it came in the box the smell was overwhelming and almost stunk but after use it tones down an the smell is still there and isnt overwhelming. My hair feels so soft and not as heavy as regular shampoos. I paired it with an apple cider vinagar rinse and my hair has never looked or felt better.
It took over 3 weeks for my fine hair to adjust. I wasn't sure it was going to work... but it's great now! It even has more body and texture! And no more plastic bottles!! I'm really happy & love the smell (bonus!)
