I’ve waited a long time to rate this lovely foot cream because I feel like I put it through a tough test! I started using it late March and was amazed at how fast it worked and how lovely it smells and doesn’t leave a greasey coat! But I had mixed results and took the time to figure it out. Here are my findings:
The reason I haven’t rated this lovely foot cream 5 stars is because of my specific issues. I danced ballet and modern for many years and while growing up in FL, I was either barefoot or in flip flops. This means, in my now 37 years of life, all my attention to foot care went to my toes and stopped there. The calluses on my heals and balls of my feet are so bad my socks snag when I put them on. Not to mention the crakes on my heals are like canyons (I’m too embarrassed to have a pedi. So I never have!) At the complaints of my spouse, I reluctantly agreed to do something about my “dragon” feet. With the help of a pumice stone I started soaking, filing and using this foot cream at night. Within 3 days I notice a huge difference! I actually enjoyed touching my feet and I LOVE the fragrance and feel of the cream! I was amazed and kept using it almost every night for several months. Then summer came (I’m now in Northern CA). Off came the socks and sneakers and out came the flip flops. I soon discovered the cream was having a hard time keeping up with the rough treatment of my feet. After 2 months, I’ve now lost my soft feet and motivation to keep trying. So my dilemma is, I’m not willing to give up flip flops and going barefoot (too hot!) and I don’t have the money or time (mom of 3) to treat my feet 2xs a day, which is what I feel is necessary during summer. So I give this 4 starts, but it’s for personal, life style choices. NOW WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST is a thicker version of this same recipe .... one version for winter (socks, sneakers and house shoes) and then a thicker version for summer to combat more exposure to the elements! What say you, Yellow Bird Team?!!!
