Our formula uses natural essential oils — including lemongrass, cedarwood, and geranium — that have been traditionally used and studied for their insect-deterring properties. While results can vary based on conditions and individual body chemistry, many customers find it highly effective for outdoor activities. We recommend reapplying every 1–2 hours and pairing with protective clothing in heavy-insect environments.
Yes — both the spray and stick are formulated with gentle, natural ingredients. The stick is especially convenient for applying to kids' faces without spray drift. We recommend applying to your hands first and then onto your child, avoiding the eye area. As with any product, consult your pediatrician if you have specific concerns.
Our blend includes cedarwood and geranium essential oils, both of which have been the subject of peer-reviewed research into tick-deterring properties. However, no natural repellent — including ours — has been proven to provide the same level of tick protection as DEET. We recommend using our products alongside other protective measures, such as wearing long sleeves and pants and checking for ticks after time outdoors.
The 4oz spray is slightly above the TSA 3.4oz (100ml) limit for carry-on liquids — pack it in checked luggage. The stick, however, is a solid and not subject to liquid restrictions, so it can go in your carry-on with no issues.
Our formula is water-based and will need to be reapplied after swimming or heavy sweating. We recommend reapplying every 1–2 hours for best results.
